This Privacy Policy explains how DataWise SEO ("DataWise", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our marketing website at www.datawiseseo.com and our application at datawiseseo.com (together, the "Service").

DataWise SEO is operated by AI Ranking SpA, a company registered in Chile, represented by Nicolas Gorrono. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at [email protected].

1. Information We Collect

  • Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture via Google OAuth.
  • Google Search Console data. If you connect a GSC property, we read (never write) your search queries, impressions, clicks, pages, and country data to power our analytics features.
  • Research inputs. The keywords, domains, and URLs you enter into our tools.
  • Session and technical data. Session tokens (stored in Cloudflare KV and D1), IP address, browser type, and standard server logs.
  • Marketing site analytics. Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-5VDSWWJ021) on the marketing site only, for aggregate traffic measurement.
  • Email. Your email address is used for transactional messages (welcome emails, service notifications) delivered through Resend.

We do not collect payment information. All billing is handled by Skool (see Section 11).

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To authenticate you and keep you signed in.
  • To deliver the SEO analytics features you request (keyword research, rank tracking, AI visibility, backlinks, GSC insights, and the AI SEO assistant).
  • To send transactional emails relating to your account.
  • To measure and improve our marketing site.
  • To secure, debug, and improve the Service.

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We do not use your data to train AI models.

3. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we process personal data under the following legal bases:

  • Contract: to provide the Service you signed up for.
  • Legitimate interests: security, analytics, and service improvement.
  • Consent: where required (e.g., analytics cookies).
  • Legal obligation: to comply with applicable law.

4. Third-Party Processors

We rely on the following trusted sub-processors:

  • Google — OAuth sign-in, Google Search Console API, Google Analytics 4.
  • DataForSEO — upstream SEO data API. Your research queries (keywords, domains, URLs) are sent to DataForSEO.
  • Cloudflare — hosting, DNS, KV storage, and the D1 database.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.
  • OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google Gemini — LLM providers used by the AI SEO assistant. Prompts you send to the assistant are transmitted to these providers for inference.
  • Skool — billing and community membership management.

5. Cookies and Tracking

The marketing site uses Google Analytics 4 cookies (_ga, _ga_*) to measure aggregate traffic. You can opt out via the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The application uses essential session cookies only, with no advertising trackers.

6. Data Retention

  • Account data is retained while your account is active and deleted on request or after prolonged inactivity.
  • GSC data is cached to power features and purged when you disconnect your property.
  • Session tokens expire automatically.
  • Server logs are retained for a rolling period of up to 90 days.

7. Data Security

We protect your data with industry-standard safeguards: HTTPS/TLS in transit, encrypted OAuth tokens at rest, access controls, and the principle of least privilege. No system is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

8. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in the United States, the European Union, Australia, and other jurisdictions where our sub-processors operate. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses for international transfers.

9. Your Rights

If you are in the EU/UK (GDPR): you have the right to access, rectify, erase, port, restrict, and object to the processing of your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

If you are in California (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell personal information, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

If you are in Chile: you have rights of access, rectification, cancellation, and objection to the processing of your personal data under Chilean data protection law (Law 19.628, as updated by Law 21.719). You may contact us directly or lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us for removal.

11. Billing and Skool

Access to DataWise is bundled with paid membership in the AI Ranking community on Skool. Skool processes all payments, refunds, and cancellations under its own terms. DataWise does not receive or store any payment card information. See Skool's Privacy Policy for details.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
